(1) Wilderness

Wandering through the wilderness, trying to find my way

All I taste is bitterness, just trying to get away

Don’t know which way to go, through hurricane and hail

Started running years ago, still trying to find the trail

I can’t keep sailing in this stormy weather

I need to look for the land, I need to stand on the sand

Wandering through the wilderness, trying to find my way

All I taste is bitterness, just trying to get away

No time to take it slow, it’s time to face your fears

Started running years ago, the race against the years

I can’t keep sailing in this stormy weather

Drifting wherever I’m blown, I need to stand on my own

Wandering through the wilderness, trying to find my way

All I taste is bitterness, just trying to get away

Still searching, high and low, for anywhere but here

The ever winding road, the end is drawing near

I can’t keep sailing in this stormy weather

I need to look for the light, I can’t keep fighting the fight

Wandering through the wilderness, trying to find my way

All I taste is bitterness, just trying to get away

(2) Romulus and Remus

I was in the dark with woods all around

Looking all around, hey what was that sound?

Brother by my side, will we make it home?

I have never felt so scared and alone

We were on our way to wonderful things

They said we were to grow up to be kings

How could we have been so far off the mark?

Glowing pair of eyes emerge from the dark

No one could have guessed that we would survive

She’s the only one that kept us alive

Raised by wolves we’re here on our own

Brothers right down to the bone

Our paths divided

But brother you know all roads lead to Rome

Our fates collided

If mountains crumble, why must this be set in stone?

You were in the dark with guards all around

Hidden from the light and kept underground

Brother by my side, they came in the night

But pretty soon they’d find the wolf had a bite

We were on our way to tear down the gates

There’s no king who can keep us from our fates

Turns out he’s the one that left us to die

Howling through the night, he’ll hear the war cry

No one could have guessed that we would prevail

Catch him by surprise and we’ll tip the scale

Tyrants will live and die by the sword

Brother the throne is restored!

Our paths divided

But brother you know all roads lead to Rome

Our fates collided

If mountains crumble, why must this be set in stone?

We were in a place with hills all around

Looking for a land, a city to found

Brother by my side, it’s only the start!

I had never thought we’d drift apart

We were on our way to wonderful things

Fame and power and the glory it brings

How could we have known it comes at a price

All the greatest dreams call for sacrifice!

No one could have guessed what fate had in store

Rome would rise above all the ones before

I had always thought that glory was ours

But brother I can’t change the stars

Our paths divided

But brother you know all roads lead to Rome

Our fates collided

If mountains crumble, why must this be set in stone?

(3) Street By the Zoo

Little Miss Sunshine she can’t wrap her mind around it

That he’d wrap her up in blankets just to ask if she could make it down by his way

And Mr. Brightside holds the right side of the mattress

Holds the flipside of the pillow like a gun to his mildly depressed head

And all the animals they’ve wandered off the pages

Tomorrow, Eve will come with pears and apples, sage is fine too

They’ll bar the gates in flame, your grave will hold your only food through

All that remains are ruins hidden in the street by the zoo

Here the writer sits and fiddles with his fingers

Sits and whittles away hours in the door, as he wishes she had more

But there she goes now, oh but they will always know how

How they wished for her to stay, now they are far

Far away and torn apart

And all the animals they’ve wandered off the pages

Tomorrow, Eve will come with pears and apples, sage is fine too

They’ll bar the gates in flame, your grave will hold your only food through

All that remains are ruins hidden in the street by the zoo

Life is cruel but I am fine 'cause I have love and she has mine

Many times the dark will rise, but let her light shine, be my guide

Someday soon if we should fall, we wouldn’t care one bit at all

She’ll see me through it all

And all the animals they’ve wandered off the pages

Tomorrow, Eve will come with pears and apples

Screw the story that they wrote for us, we’ll live our lives out loud

Screw the ones who won’t be good to us, who cares if they’re not proud

Someday soon if we should fall, we wouldn’t care one bit at all

She’ll see me through it all

We’ll see through it all

We know time isn't kind, say you're mine

We'll live our lives out loud

Seasons rise, seasons fall, stormy skies

But we'll see it through it all

We'll see it through it all

(4) Hello?

Hello? Hello?  Is there anybody

Else inside the house am I alone?

Alone... Alone

Who’s there?  Who’s there? Thought I heard a whisper

Calling me away I don’t know where

Oh where?  Oh where?

Help me!  Help me! My last candlelight has

Given way to night and I can’t see

Can’t see... Can’t see

Hello?  Hello? Is there anyone that’s

Left inside the house I’ve got to know

To know… to know

Who’s there?  Who’s there? Thought I saw a something

Else inside you hidden in your stare

Your stare… Your stare

Help me! Help me! I could swear that there was

Someone in the dark here besides me

Besides me… Beside me…

Hello?

(5) Hear Me

You can't hear me now, wish I could get through somehow

You don't know what's true, forget everything you thought you knew

You're living in a dream. You can't hear me when I scream

Things just aren't what they seem

I see you fall down, but you don't even feel the ground

You're walking on air. Nothing breaks your vacant stare

You're living in a dream. You can't hear me when I scream

Things just aren't what they seem

You don't even know how hard I tried to let you go

Oh when will you see? When will you hear my plea?

Your world's crashing down, broken pieces all around

You refuse to see all the things you do to me

You're living in a dream. You can't hear me when I scream

Things just aren't what they seem

Hear my final call, but you can't even hear at all

I just can't get through. There's nothing that I can do

You're living in a dream. You can't hear me when I scream

Things just aren't what they seem at all

(6) The Question

Do you, do you know the answer?

I don’t even know the question

I don’t even know

What is wrong with me

Do you know the way?

It’s not every day we get to change the world

Get to change the world

The world needs a change

But the world stays just the same

No one else can hear our screams

Tearing us away from our dreams

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey

I know, I know what you’re asking.

Everybody’s always asking

But no one ever seems to listen

No one seems to care

It’s just another empty phrase

Screaming it’s the end of days till we see that no one’s heard

No one’s heard a word

The world needs a change

But the world stays just the same

No one else can hear our screams

Tearing us away from our dreams

Hey.

How long?  How long are you going to wait here?

Waiting for someone to tell you

Tell you where you should be going

What you’re meant to do

Do you know the way?

Or what you’re meant to say when you know the time is right?

Does it matter anyway?

The world needs a change

But the world stays just the same

No one else can hear our screams

Tearing us away from our dreams

Heeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy

(7) Leaning On You

Don’t know what to do, I’m leaning on you

It’s not what you think, I’m not on the brink

Of stealing away the very next day

I’ll still be here then, just count up to ten

Just count up to ten

I can’t fall asleep, I’m in it too deep

I can’t close my eyes 'til you realize

It’s not like before, I’ll give you much more

I’ll be here with you, it’ll just be us two

Just be us two

You’re more than a friend, I’m here to the end

From A down to Z, you’ll be here with me

This isn’t just fun, you’re the only one

For you I’d give all, I’ll catch you when you fall

You when you fall

(8) War Cry

Can you feel the wind be gin to blow

Everywhere the water starts to flow

The winter’s coming to a bloody close

And in the silence, there our hunger grows

Sound your war cryTake up arms the battle is nigh

Raise your voices! Drink your courage it’s do or die

Tell me have you heard our people weep

When they lie so still it looks like sleep

Tell me have you heard our people cry

Brothers will you stand and watch them die

Sound your war cryTake up arms the battle is nigh

Raise your voices! Drink your courage it’s do or die

Can you see the red and rising sun

We’ll be stained with red when battle’s done

Brothers lift your swords and hold them high

Warriors, go forth to kill or die

Sound your war cryTake up arms the battle is nigh

Raise your voices! Drink your courage it’s do or die

(9) The Waltz

Funny how strange is what once was so familiar,

How the stars used to sparkle.

Once they would dance through the sky ‘tll the new morning

Now I’m afraid they might burn out without warning

I’m alone ‘til break of day

Funny how strange is what once was so familiar,

How the sun used to warm me.

Once I would cling to the daylight ‘til days ending

Now I’m afraid that the sun’s always descending,

Slowly, colors turn to grey.

Funny how strange is what once was so familiar,

Funny how strange is what once was so familiar,

Funny how strange is what once was so familiar,

Funny how strange is what once was so familiar,

(10) The Best I Can Give

If the best I can give is my love

Then I'll give you the best that I can

And if I cannot give you enough

If it turns out we've built upon sand
If it turns out we’ve built upon sand

If the night cannot be overcome

Close your eyes and I'll sing you a song

But the darkness has only begun

Still I think I've been blind all along

Still I think I've been blind all along

In the end dust will be dust

and we'll all do what we must

but must I watch it burn to the ground

I can't make a sound

I would build you a palace of gold

in the garden we'd never grow old

but when I do all that I'm able

I can't keep bread on the table

If it's all I can do not to cry

Like the rain that won't fall on the ground

I watch everything wither and die

In this desert I feel like I've drowned

A dry ocean and I've run aground

In the end dust will be dust

and we'll all do what we must

but must I watch it burn to the ground

I can't make a sound

I would build you a palace of gold

in the garden we'd never grow old

but when I do all that I'm able

I can't keep bread on the table

If the best I can give is my love

Then I'll give you the best that I can

And if I cannot give you enough

If it turns out we've built upon sand

(11) Softly Slowly

Softly, slowly, little baby

I won’t let the angels take thee

Someday you’ll be so much stronger

You won’t need me any longer

Don’t be frightened: night is fleeting

Dawn is coming, morning’s greeting

Softly, slowly, little baby

I won’t let the angels take thee

(12) I'll Be Late

I’ll be late if I make it home at all

I’ll be late, don’t wait up for me to call

Though the night’s getting late, flip that light switch on the wall

I’ll be late if I make it home at all

Should be home by a quarter after one

But I’ll stay till the working day is done

And the night bleeds to morning and the rising of the sun

And we’ll keep on working till this war is won

I knew they’d call my number by and by

Don’t you worry what tomorrow has in mind

I’ll be home ‘fore you know it, we know victory is nigh

I’ll be home in the morning, don’t you cry

I’ll be late if I make it home at all

I’ll be late don’t wait up for me to call

I will serve while I’m able, I will fight until I fall

I’ll be late if I make it home at all
